The bike they gave me was a Scott Spark running XT which was well maintained, and Phil took the time to set it up properly for me. On Zoe and Phil's recommendation I rode from the Springs. Phil gave me a route suggestion which took me down some beautifully maintained trails and ended at the Cascade Brewery just up the road from the starting point. The ride was so scenic and fun. The gear was all of a fab standard. We are a couple in our 50s who live locally and see these guys ride past our place regularly. We always said that one day we'd love to do that, so yesterday we did, and we had an absolutely fantastic day! Phil and Zoe run a very professional operation and I felt safe and in control of how we rode. We loved having both experiences of rolling down the top part of the mountain on a sealed road, then riding through some beautiful bushland on the southern side. Even though we live in Hobart, we saw new things and learnt some history too! The weather was perfect, Rich was very knowledgeable about the area, he was careful about our safety and was very accommodating of our two kids, 13 and 11. Richard was an excellent guide who made sure all riders and bikes were in order. He was very resourceful and full of information about the history of the mountain and the native animals. We were a last minute walk up from the cruise ship annd they weee able to accommodate us. Very professional and great customer service. We were greeted by Richard who was also our guide. Richard was awesome. Very informative about the history of Mt Wellington and the geographical area. Had an absolute fantastic time riding with our guide Rich through stunning rainforest tracks and enjoying the decent down from the top of Mt Wellington Hobart. Could not have asked for better weather or days adventure. Rich was very knowledgeable and informative on riding techniques and areas of track we got to enjoy. I would highly recommend this tour if you are in Hobart and want to enjoy a great day out.
